The Kansas City Royals swung a trade for pitching help earlier this month, but they aren't done exploring the pitching market. The latest rumor is that the Royals are interested in Miami Marlins starting pitcher Dan Straily.
The Brewers, Rockies and Royals are among a small group of teams interested in Marlins starter Dan Straily.

The Royals have been linked to other starters, like Francisco Liriano. But Straily gives them a young, cheap and controllable arm.
However, it's unclear if any team will actually meet the Marlins' demands for Straily. It's not a huge surprise the asking price for Straily is so high. The 28-year-old is 7-6 this year with a 3.84 ERA and a 1.185 WHIP. He's under team control through the 2020 season, so the Marlins are in no rush to deal him.

The Royals struggled to open the season, leading many to expect them to be sellers at the trade deadline. But they're rallied since and hold a three-game lead for the last AL Wild card spot. That makes them buyers at the deadline.
