Carlos Gomez Joining The Royals?
Even though Gomez is a little more expensive than other options at the center field position. A big splash move like this would prove that the Royals are still trying to be relevant in 2018. Last season Gomez in 105 games batted .255 with 17 home runs and 51 RBIs. Gomez is a solid fielder who would also add speed and power to a position that lacks the qualities of many center fielders.
Jaime Garcia A Royals Target?
There are plenty of arms the Royals could look to add but Garcia who does carry a larger price tag would give the Royals a solid left-handed pitcher. The Royals need starting pitching considering only one of their starters who threw more than 145 innings had a lower ERA than 4.00.
Mike Moustakas Leaving?
According to Nick Cafardo both the Mets and Yankees are among the teams expected to chase the Royals 29-year-old star. Last season for the Royals Moustakas batted.272 with 38 home runs, and 85 RBIs. Both the Mets and Yankees have big wallets which is good since Moustakas is a client of Scott Boras.
