OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Kansas City Chiefs described the receiving skills of their only player to almost catch a touchdown pass in Sunday’s win over the Oakland Raiders with these terms: great athletic, phenomenal hands.
That being the case, it begs the question: Why don’t the Chiefs throw the ball to 345-pound nose tackle Dontari Poe more often?
Poe took a pitch from quarterback Alex Smith and scored a touchdown in Sunday’s 26-10 win over the Raiders. The play was ruled a lateral so it was a rushing touchdown and not a receiving score.
