Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman is headed to the NFL Players Association’s “rookie premiere,” which is set to take place May 16-19 in Los Angeles. Hardman was the only member of the Chiefs invited to the event.
According to the NFLPA press release, the rookie premiere is the first major business and marketing event featuring NFL players since becoming professionals.
The 40 rookies (full roster here) can “jumpstart their endorsement careers” by getting in front of some big-name brands for marketing purposes. The players chosen to go are early-round selections who usually play on the offensive side of the football.
