It used to be that we would get the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason schedule well after the league officially announced the regular-season schedule.
But these days, the rough outlines of the exhibition schedule are usually available on schedule release day — and within a few days, we usually have all the details that go with them.
Since AFC teams will have one more road game than a home game in 2024, all AFC teams will play two of their three exhibition games at home. This season, the Chiefs will finish the preseason with those two games on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium against two NFC opponents — the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears — after opening their exhibition series on the road against the AFC’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
