After growing up on the south side of Chicago and living a lifestyle that revolved around crime, drugs, and gangs – the same one that left many of his childhood friends dead or in jail – Avant turned to religion to help him escape the danger that surrounded him.
Now, the 32-year old wideout is not only living a vastly different lifestyle than many had envisioned he’d be living at the age of 12 or 13 – the age in which he began to sell drugs and associate himself with the notorious Southside Chicago gang life – he is using his childhood struggled and experiences to make a positive difference in this generation’ youth.
