After an impressive debut against the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs’ starting left tackle — rookie Kingsley Suamataia — struggled during Sunday’s 26-25 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
After being flagged with a second holding call, Suamataia was replaced by second-year backup Wanya Morris, who was in competition with the second-round rookie for the starting job during training camp.
After accumulating four starts in his rookie season, Morris brought a level of experience that the team needed to finish a heated game against its AFC rival. Morris was ready for the call.
