Vontae Davis should draw free agent interest after getting medical clearance

The market of available players just got a bit more interesting on Monday with word that former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was medically cleared for physical activity after having surgery to repair a core injury suffered earlier in the year.

Davis has been with the Colts since 2012 when a trade by Ryan Grigson brought him over from the Miami Dolphins. It was one of Grigson’s few positive moves for the Colts since Davis ended up starting 76 games for the Colts after the trade, providing a strong presence in the secondary for a team that sorely needed one.
