Tyreek Hill has already been named to his third straight Pro Bowl, including his first as a wide receiver, in his third season in the NFL. In the midst of such an incredible season, he can now add “franchise record holder” to his resume.
The Kansas City Chiefs wideout set the team record for most receiving yards in a single season with 1,445 (with more to come) during Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.
Hill has been on a record-setting pace for some time, and on Sunday, in the final week of the regular season, he finally eclipsed the 18-year-old mark of Derrick Alexander, who set the previous record with 1,381 receiving yards back in 2000.
