The Kansas City Chiefs are likely breathing just a bit easier on Monday with the news that star wide receiver Tyreek Hill will avoid being placed on injured reserve despite being hospitalized after the team’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.
Hill suffered a sternoclavicular joint injury, per the team’s trainer Rick Burholder, on Sunday and was immediately taken out of the game. Hill left to the locker room on a cart and it was reported after the game that he was going to miss several weeks with IR placement being a possibility.
