Former Kansas City Chiefs Matt Cassel and Brandon Flowers were two of 33 players who participated in the NFL’s player engagement broadcast boot camp last week at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The league says more than 300 players have taken part in the boot camp and more than 35 percent have earned broadcasting jobs as a result of their participation.
Cassel joined NFL Network’s Good Morning Football to discuss his decision to participate.
“At this point in my career, after year 14, I’m a free agent, and you have to start looking at what the next phase of life is,” he said.
