On Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs conducted their fifth 2024 training camp practice at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph — the first one in full pads.
After missing three days of practice with strep throat, first-round rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy was back on the field. So was cornerback Nazeeh Johnson, who left practice on Wednesday after an injury to the same knee he hurt in 2023. Wideout Justin Watson left Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury. While he was present on Friday, he came down the hill without pads or a helmet.
Cornerback Jaylen Watson (labrum), safety Justin Reid (quad), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps), defensive end BJ Thompson and left guard Joe Thuney (pectoral) were present, but were also without their helmets, working with trainers on the sideline.
