Although there’s still some uncertainty regarding the Kansas City Chiefs’ competition for the starting cornerback position, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo can rest easy knowing at least one side of the field is secure.
All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie, now entering his third season in Kansas City, is set to take on a more prominent role as he transitions from inside to outside cornerback, stepping into the void left by veteran L’Jarius Sneed. McDuffie embraces the challenge and has reassured Spagnuolo that he’s ready to contribute wherever needed.
“I always tell coach Spags, wherever he needs me, I’ll go play,” McDuffie shared during Monday’s press conference.
