Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been named the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City’s “2015 Role Model of the Year.” The award recognizes an individual who not only maintains a high profile in the community, but also serves as a positive example for youth through his or her responsible actions.
“I just really want to thank all the kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City for giving me this prestigious honor as your Role Model of the Year,” said Kelce.
Kelce held a “Kickoff Dinner” fundraiser for the Dreambuilders Foundation under the Boys and Girls Club umbrella on September 10 of last year, and the funds from the event went towards funding a youth flag football league.
