The more playbook the better for the Chiefs’ De’Anthony Thomas, who has embraced his move to wide receiver from running back/slot.
“It’s a lot more learning,” Thomas said. “Learning the whole offense. I learned the running back stuff last year, now I’m learning the receiver stuff also. It’s just all about learning the whole offense, and I feel like I can be more valuable to the team the more time I can be on the field.”
Thomas caught 23 passes for 156 yards last year, mostly from the slot, where he ran short routes and screens.
