The Kansas City Chiefs' run defense has been elite this season.
With 118 running plays called against it, the defense has given up just 442 yards. That’s only 88.4 yards per game (ranking fifth in the league) and 3.7 yards per attempt (ranking fourth).
Opponents have had a success rate of just 36.8% while running (seventh) and an EPA per play of minus 0.156 (seventh).
The Chiefs have also done a tremendous job of limiting big running plays. So far this season, there have been 135 rushing plays that gained at least 20 yards.
