The Kansas City Chiefs’ first-year safety Jaden Hicks has slowly become an important contributor to the defense. He’s appeared in all 16 of the team’s games — and since Week 8, has steadily taken a larger and larger role.
In his rookie season, he’s collected 24 tackles (18 solo and two for loss) and leads the team with three interceptions — including one in each of the last two games.
“From the first day Jaden got here, he’s gone about it the right way,” safeties coach Donald D’Alesio told reporters on Thursday.
