On Monday, ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Field Yates published a joint mock covering the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, which begins a week from Thursday at Campus Meritus Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit.
Kiper sent USC quarterback Caleb Williams to the Chicago Bears with the first selection, while Yates decided on LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels for the Washington Commanders with the second pick. Then they alternated through the rest of the first 100 selections.
By the time the Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock at the end of the first round, Kiper and Yates have eliminated seven offensive tackles and six wide receivers.
