The Chiefs are not surprised with Rashee Rice’s second-year breakout

From the beginning of the 2024 season, the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Rashee Rice has been one of the NFL’s best players.

Through Week 3, the second-year pro led the league with 28 receptions, while his 288 receiving yards ranked second. During the Chiefs’ 22-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Rice caught 12 passes for 110 yards while scoring his second touchdown of the year.

That puts him on pace to register 136 receptions for 1,632 yards and 11 touchdowns this season — a big increase over the 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns he collected during his rookie season.
