The competition along the offensive interior has claimed its first victim for the Kansas City Chiefs with the reported release of Tejan Koroma from the active roster.
The Chiefs added some further competition to the roster during the 2019 NFL Draft and subsequent signings of undrafted free agents or rookie minicamp invites.
In the seventh round, the Chiefs added another potential threat for a backup roster spot behind center and guard in seventh round selection Nick Allegretti, a lineman out of the University of Illinois. Allegretti played in 48 games in college and has started 36 consecutive games at either guard or center for the Fighting Illini, giving him a nice body of work experience coming into minicamp with the Chiefs.
