Ahead of the NFL Draft, general manager Brett Veach signed free-agent wide receiver Hollywood Brown. In the draft, Veach used his top pick on Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy — and then took tight end Jared Wiley in the fourth round. He also selected three offensive linemen, including a candidate to win the starting left tackle position: Kingsley Suamataia.
