The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing back a familiar face.
Veteran cornerback Steven Nelson has returned to the team where he began his NFL career nearly a decade ago. But he’s a bit different than when he left.
“Oh, man, I’m 31 years old now,” he reminded reporters in the locker room on Wednesday afternoon. “I think I came in at 21. I’m 10 years older [and] a lot wiser, you know. A lot of things have changed.”
After departing Kansas City in the spring of 2019, Nelson had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.
