Sources: Kansas City Chiefs to put franchise tag on OT Orlando Brown Jr.

The Kansas City Chiefs are putting a franchise tag on offensive tackle Orlando Brown, league sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Brown, who turns 26 on May 2, becomes the first free-agent-to-be this off-season known to be getting the franchise tag.

He joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 via a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. He started 16 games in the regular season and three in the playoffs at left tackle and was selected to play in the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career.

Brown, whose father Orlando was a longtime NFL offensive tackle, joined the Ravens as a third-round pick in 2018.
