As the season began, the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest roster question was what they would do at left tackle. Going into training camp, their two options were second-round rookie Kingsley Suamataia and second-year player Wanya Morris.
All along, we knew this was a risky approach. Keeping Patrick Mahomes healthy was always going to be the top priority for a team trying for a third Super Bowl win. But it’s doubtful the Chiefs expected to start four different players at left tackle before the end of the season.
After a strong training camp and preseason, Suamataia earned the first nod at the position.
