The Kansas City Chiefs have signed two young players they hope can provide some competition during training camp.
The team agreed to terms with former New Orleans Saints cornerback Akeem Davis, 26, and wide receiver Seantavius Jones, 23, on Thursday, according to Zac Jackson of Pro Football Talk.
Jones was a tryout player for the Chiefs during minicamp. A 6'3" receiver out of Valdosta State, he suited up for three games in New Orleans last season but didn't see any playing time.
Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star thinks Jones is a good signing because of his size and how he made some impressive plays in practice:
The signing of Jones, a 6-3 tryout WR from Valdosta State, makes sense.
