After five full seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, safety Ron Parker was expected to join another club or perhaps even sit out looking for work after the team cut him earlier this offseason. Now, however, he’s back for a reported sixth season, per Terez Paylor, who says he will re-sign with the Chiefs after all.
It’s interesting that the Chiefs will re-sign Parker around roster cuts, the same exact time of year they first acquired him off of waivers back in 2013. Back then, general manager John Dorsey was scouring the waiver wire looking for any talent who could help a last-place team make some small steps forward.
