Report: Rashee Rice’s injury could be season-ending ACL tear

On the very first play of the Kansas City Chiefs’ second drive during Sunday’s 17-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was intercepted by Chargers’ cornerback Kristian Fulton — who had, ironically, been listed as questionable to play in the Week 4 game. The cornerback returned the ball 29 yards to the Chiefs’ 20-yard line — where wide receiver Rashee Rice made a heads-up play, knocking the ball out of his hands.

Unfortunately, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also trying to make a heads-up play. As the ball went to the ground, he dove towards Fulton — and ended up hitting Rice in the knees.
