Kansas City needed a new No. 1 cornerback at their last minicamp practice.

Marcus Cooper and first-round rookie Marcus Peters split reps originally reserved for Sean Smith, according to Arrowhead Pride. Smith was excused for "personal reasons," according to head coach Andy Reid.

Meanwhile, three Chiefs continued to sit out as minicamp closed up. Reid hinted at the possibility of starting QB Tyler Bray, TE Demetrius Harris, and RB Cyrus Gray on the physically unable to perform list, but said general manager John Dorsey would ultimately decide matters.
