PITTSBURGH -- Last week’s game against the New York Jets was so spectacular -- they intercepted six passes, forced two fumbles and held what had been one of the NFL’s highest-scoring teams to three points -- that it obscured a larger truth about the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ve been playing well defensively for some time now.
After one miserable first half to start this season, the Chiefs have allowed just one touchdown in the past 10 quarters and none in the past seven.
It also obscured something else just as important. The Chiefs are rotten on offense.
