The Kansas City Chiefs’ top battle entering training camp is set to be at starting left tackle, where rookie second-rounder Kingsley Suamataia is competing against second-year player (and former third-rounder) Wanya Morris.
The job is up for grabs because last year’s starter, Donovan Smith, remains a free agent. When asked about the battle between Suamataia and Morris after the offseason program, head coach Andy Reid complimented both players.
“They’ve both done a nice job,” said Reid. “[I] like the production we’ve seen from both of them. Both of them are young guys. So, we’ll just see how it all finishes up through camp.
