Phillip Gaines and Josh Mauga were among the inactives for the Chiefs for Saturday’s preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks at Arrowhead Stadium.
Gaines is coming off season-ending knee surgery. Mauga has missed practices with a groin strain.
Others who didn’t suit up was the same group that hasn’t participated in training game: running back Jamaal Charles, safety Eric Berry and outside linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali.
