Well, that didn’t last long. Veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick finally found a home for the 2019 season, or so he believed, just last month with the Philadelphia Eagles. Unfortunately, NFL reporter Adam Caplan says his time is already up.
Scandrick will be released on Friday along with a number of roster cuts as he failed to make the team’s active roster. The Eagles likely gave him an early release so he would have the rest of the weekend to talk to other teams and find potential interest there.
The Kansas City Chiefs employed Scandrick just last season in hopes he would help fill in a void in the secondary, but he’d lost his starting spot by season’s end to Charvarius Ward, an undrafted free agent who came on strong down the stretch.
