Although the Kansas City Chiefs returned to the team facility this week for organized team activities (OTAs), the media did not get a look at this year’s squad until their third practice on Wednesday.
As he prepares for his eighth professional season, quarterback Patrick Mahomes previewed a hopeful return of Kansas City’s vaunted deep passing attack that delivered a Super Bowl in his second season as a starter.
He admits, however, that the dominating defense that helped seal the Chiefs’ most recent title is not easy to practice against.
“I think as I’ve gotten older — and as I’ve learned more — I just try to find different ways to tweak certain stuff and try to push the envelope even more,” the league’s best player explained.
