Being the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player comes with a considerable number of obligations. It does, of course, come with national recognition, endorsements, fame, and the like, but it also seems to come with a number of appearances for which Patrick Mahomes must show up.
This week provided the perfect example for Mahomes. The Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback made an appearance in Rochester, New York of all places, as he was handed the Coca-Cola Sports Personality of the Year by the Rochester Press-Radio Club. He spoke for several minutes and was given the award in person.
