On the surface, that’s good news for Kansas City Chiefs fans. We all want our favorite quarterback, our MVP, our face of the franchise to make himself at home in the city. He’s got national appeal. He could live anywhere and commute at the most important times. He could choose mountains or oceans or both. He could at least be closer to his Texan origins. Instead, he bought a home in K.C.
The news should have stopped there, a quick nod to the fact that Patrick Mahomes warms our hearts with pretty much everything he does—from wearing jorts to throwing no-look passes to his “aw, shucks” demeanor.
