The Kansas City Chiefs remain the NFL’s lone unbeaten team after securing a 28-18 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. Despite the absence of all the flashy stats, the Chiefs continue to find ways to win, overcoming adversity week after week.
This week’s challenge was the passing game which struggled once again to find its rhythm against a tough 49ers defense. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two interceptions, extending his streak to six consecutive games with a pick this season. Meanwhile, the receiving corps also took a hit as veteran wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster re-aggravated a hamstring injury in the first quarter, sidelining him for the remainder of the game.
