The Kansas City Chiefs recorded six takeaways in their 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 15 — the same number they had recorded during the previous eight games. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, it’s also the most takeaways a Chiefs team has earned in one game since 2016.
While it was an outlier performance, linebacker Nick Bolton wants to make it the beginning of a trend.
“Especially going down the stretch into the postseason, we’re definitely going to need turnovers [to give] the ball to our offense in short fields,” Bolton told reporters on Tuesday.
