Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game could be the biggest thing since Magnus Carlsen faced off against Fabiano Caruana, right?
OK, it’s possible fans are unaware that the world chess championship is underway in London, where Carlsen and Caruana have played five matches, which have resulted in ... five draws.
It seems unlikely that the Chiefs-Rams game will end in a tie, if for no other reason than these two teams can score a ton of points. KC is second in the NFL in scoring (35.3 points per game), followed by Los Angeles (33.5).
But Peter Schrager of the NFL Network earlier this week made the correlation between the chess championship and Monday’s game.
