Looking at several mock drafts over the course of an offseason will usually give way to a good guess as to what a team is likely to do with their picks in the NFL Draft. John Dorsey, however, has proven to be an elusive catch for mock draft creators. The Kansas City Chiefs general manager fooled nearly everyone with first round picks like Dee Ford or Marcus Peters, so it’s impossible to tell what he might do in 2017. That said, the common pick lately has been Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The Chiefs have held a formal interview with Watson at the NFL Combine, as they did with every top quarterback in this class, including Brad Kaaya, Mitchell Trubisky, DeShone Kizer and Patrick Mahomes.
