A third potential pro prospect has reportedly entered the 2019 NFL Supplemental Draft with word that former University of Texas commit Devonaire Clarington, a tight end, will be eligible for the draft.
Two players have already stated their eligibility for the draft in West Virginia wide receiver Marcus Simms and Syracuse linebacker Shyheim Cullen. Both of those players fit positions of need for the Chiefs and the same can be said of Clarington, who took a circuitous route through the junior college ranks to reach this point.
Clarington had academic concerns that kept him from ever suiting up for the Longhorns or playing in the Big 12.
