Once the NFL announced announced Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill would not be suspended in 2019, many people wondered about Chiefs rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman.
Because of his speed and ability in the return game, Hardman was often compared to Hill. The two players do have similar skill sets, so while Hill’s future was still up in the air, many had reached the conclusion that Hardman was drafted to be a replacement for Hill.
While Hardman’s potential role in the Chiefs offense may have changed once Hill was cleared to play, the second-round pick believes his mission is still the same — and sees an opportunity to learn from one of the best players in the league.
