The Kansas City Chiefs are beginning to piece together their new defensive coaching staff after the hire of Steve Spagnuolo with word that Matt House will be taking over as the team’s linebacking coach, per Field Yates.
House has served as defensive coordinator at a number of college programs over the last several years, most recently with the Kentucky Wildcats. He’s served in the same role at Pitt and Florida International before joining Kentucky in 2016 where he’s been a significant part of Mark Stoops’ staff and the resulting success on the field.
House was not only DC in Lexington, but he was also a positional coach for the inside linebackers—a real problem spot for the Chiefs last year.
