It wasn’t a big trade at all, but it still looks quite clear that Brett Veach got the better end of the deal.
It was only two weeks ago that the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings hooked up on a trade that sent rookie cornerback Mark Fields to the Vikes in exchange for a 2021 7th round draft choice. Now the Vikings have released Fields to prepare their roster for Week 2.
Fields joined the Chiefs as a rookie free agent after he went undrafted out of Clemson. Fields’ natural ability and level of competition in college made him a heralded addition to the team’s undrafted free agent list.
