With the departure of Chris Ballard to take the general manager position with the Indianapolis Colts, John Dorsey has a vacuum where his primary talent evaluator had been. Ballard had worked his way up the Chiefs’ front office under Dorsey to become a critical asset in developing the Kansas City roster. Without Ballard in place to lend his evaluations to the process, more pressure will fall on Dorsey himself.
