Laurent Duvernay-Tardif’s contract details emerge

The Kansas City Chiefs have made waves with a plethora of moves this week before and during the 2017 NFL Comine. From extending Eric Berry to a six-year deal to releasing star running back Jamaal Charles, John Dorsey has been busy, but that didn’t preclude him from also signing right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to a new five-year extension worth a reported $42+ million. Now Adam Caplan has further details of the contract’s breakdown.

For a former sixth round pick out of McGill University, the amount is certainly significant, but these totals put the contract in perspective with the rest of the team and league.
