Laurent Duvernay-Tardif fractured his fibula against Jacksonville

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that the team’s starting right guard, Laurent Durvernay-Tardif, suffered a fractured fibula, in the Chiefs’ 30-14 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“It’s going to take a little bit of time, but not too long,” Reid said. “He won’t be done for the year, which is positive.”

Here is a quick breakdown from our in-house injury expert Aaron Borgmann:

Wide range of possibilities here ranging from rest to surgery. Without more info impossible to make any determinations on time out. Fib only takes ~1/6 of body weight so not as big a concern as other structures.
