Late Raiders score shouldn't have surprised Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Oakland Raiders had to go 85 yards in the final 2½ minutes of last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs to score their winning touchdown, making it no sure thing as they embarked on the drive.

But the Chiefs' recent history in allowing late-game touchdowns must have had the Raiders feeling good about their chances of scoring. Oakland became the fourth Kansas City opponent in seven games to score a late touchdown. A fifth opponent drove to the Chiefs' 2 before time expired.

None was as costly as the touchdown by the Raiders, which happened after time had expired and gave Oakland a 31-30 victory after the extra point.
