The Chiefs are releasing a core special teams player to add some much-needed depth at offensive line.
On Monday, the team announced that third-year pro Josh Martin, one of the team's best special teams player a year ago, has been waived. The team also announced the signing of offensive tackle Jah Reid, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.
The team has invested the last three years in developing Martin, a former undrafted rookie free agent who is listed at 6 feet 3 and 245 pounds. He was one of the team's best special teams players a year ago, posting a Pro Football Focus rating of 13.
