The Kansas City Chiefs were missing a couple players during the team’s most recent practice on Thursday when both tight end Travis Kelce and safety Jordan Lucas were forced to miss practice due to an illness.
No further information was given about the “illness” but it should be noted that several Chiefs have missed time due to illness in the last few weeks, bringing up the curious question as to whether or not it’s the same virus or issue going around.
With the Super Bowl still over a week away, there are no major concerns for either player, and an extra day of rest, especially in the case of All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, is likely helpful for more than just the illness given the state of his recent knee injury.
