Three weeks into his rookie season in the NFL, running back Kareem Hunt is already getting used to awards and accolades that come with maintaining such a historic level of production. This week, Hunt was announced as a nominee for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week Award for the second time this year.
Hunt led all running backs in yardage this week with 172 rushing yards on only 17 carries, good for an incredible 10.1 yards/carry average. Hunt now leads the entire NFL in rushing yards by a wide margin of 113 rushing yards, and he’s proven capable of putting up significant totals as a pass catcher as well.
